Gene Ramirez

Managing Director - BTIG 

Gene Ramirez is the Managing Director of TMT Investment Banking at BTIG in San Francisco, where he oversees all aspects of the firm’s activities in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors. Among the Companies in which BTIG has played a major financing role are Pace Funding Group (the Silicon Valley Mortgage start-up in which New Albion is a leading investor) as well as mobile game platform Skillz, Facilitron – a data driven facilities management platform -- and Boom Fantasy, a DFS site that offers players the opportunity for in-game, real time participation. BTIG is a diversified financial services firm with offices in 18 US cities as well as operations in Europe, Asia and Australia. Its banking and advisory services group is focused primarily on the sectors of Real Estate, Health Care, Financials, Energy & Shipping, Consumer Goods & Services, and Technology. Prior to joining BTIG, Gene was Managing Director at Morgan, Joseph TriArtisan, a privately held merchant banking firm headquartered in New York City and with international operations based in the UK. At Morgan Joseph, Gene was a founding member of the San Francisco office and responsible for building the firm’s merchant and investment banking practice in Technology, Media and Telecommunications.   In the course of a long and distinguished career in Finance, Gene has also served as Managing Director at Nollenberger Capital Partners, where he led the company’s coverage effort in TMT, and as Director at SGC, where he headed up investment banking in the areas of Internet and Digital Media, Software, Cloud Services and Clean Technology. Gene has a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He also holds Series 7, 24 and 63 Licenses from FINRA.
