Michael Dixon – Pacific Northwest

During the course of his career, Mike Dixon has acquired, entitled and developed more than 6000 lots, cumulatively valued in excess of $750M and located in three states, five major Markets and eleven governmental jurisdictions. Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of urban planning and development, Mike has been responsible for the construction and sale of more than 5000 housing units and the design of dozens of successful Mixed-use, Urban Infill and Master Planned Communities. Having enjoyed a distinguished 25-year career in both the Private and Public sectors, Mike brings a uniquely broad perspective to the challenges of creating innovative land plans and sustainable neighborhoods.  

At New Albion Group, Mike manages Company operations in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington and is responsible for the supervision of all field personnel and office staff, the completion of feasibility studies and Marketing analyses, and the day-to-day oversight of Consultants, Architects, Engineers and Sub-Contractors.

Prior to joining New Albion, Mike was the Division President of Weyerhaeuser Corporation’s Pacific Northwest Operations based in Portland and doing business as Quadrant Homes. At Weyerhaeuser, he was responsible for directing all aspects of the Company’s activities, including the acquisition, entitlement and management of numerous residential and mixed-use projects, the formulation and implementation of Divisional Business Plans, the hiring and supervision of Divisional personnel, and the creation of Company policies, standards and procedures. Prior to Weyerhaeuser, Mike was Vice President of Acquisition & Development at Pacific Lifestyle Homes in Vancouver, Washington as well as the Housing & Redevelopment Director for the City of Menlo Park. Mike holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance & Public Planning from the University of San Francisco.  He is fully trained in LEED Construction Practices and Certified in OSHA Construction & Safety Standards. Over the course of many years, Mike has also dedicated an enormous amount of his time and talents to Habitat-for-Humanity in the creation of Affordable Homes and Below Market Housing throughout the Pacific Northwest
